Thoughts on Mark Sanford

After debating for the past week or so whether to just let the Sanford event go by without comment or not I decided to at very least post a few things Ive been twittering about.
At first I thought people might have been too hard on Sanford who came out of hiding of sorts to admit [...]

With events in Iran heating up I would advise people to watch the following channels/twitters:

Awesome video from the NRSC regarding 2010 elections.

Gotta love it. Lets see more of this.. and more talk about what Republicans can and will do to return us to our greatness (and I dont mean more government programs).

Blogs: So yesterday? Sorta, sorta not.

Wanted to make a quick note here about where a lot of my time and quick thoughts have been shared: Via Twitter.
Used to be, blogs were *the* place to post if you have a thought.
Truth is, however, they are at the moment very cumbersome to maneuver around and fill out. Enter Twitter.
Instead of having to [...]

Commemorating D-Day.

Today we commemorate D-Day, the beginning of the end for Hilter’s fascist regime and the liberation of Europe.

The price paid to preserve freedom and liberty then and now still cannot be measured.

Chad Livengood’s piece on earmark definition a must read.

A few weeks ago I posted a piece regarding candidate demagoguery of the entire earmark issue. I predict that the issue will be raised repeatedly in the Seventh Congressional District (Missouri) primary.
To that end, Chad Livengood’s piece today is a home run and must read.

In a press release yesterday Congressman Roy Blunt made note of an award given to him last week by the ACU noting his commitment to grass root concerns. Only Representatives receiving an ACU rating of 80 or higher received the award.
Blunt’s record for the 2008 congress stood at 88. His life time rating in [...]

Democrats apparently are looking at adding a regressive tax to fund a trillion dollar experiment in nationalization of health care.
The tax, traditionally know as a VAT (Value added tax), would be a tax on all goods and services. This is not to be confused with the fair tax which would drop all other form of [...]

Quick notes regarding Sonia Sotomayor.

I will flesh out a lot of these points, but let me note a few:
The media coverage is disgustingly one sided with no analysis of Sotomayor’s actual case work. Much of which apparently is shoddy work at best (only recieving 11 out of 44 possible votes from justices).
Bush ‘41 may have appointed her initially, but [...]

So what about new momentum for the declining dollar?

The Associated Press reported today that the dollar is declining because of worries regarding the trillions of dollars America is in debt for (and which will become worse in the forth coming future).

What about this? How does such a move impact your personal pocket book?

There are two direct ways we will feel the crunch: commodity prices (e.g. gas and food prices) and inflation. Both are not positive items for a healthy economy, but may very well be where we are headed.
