Some of you out there know that my World of Warcraft character (enhancement shaman) was a cow known as Tauren.

I recently took advantage of Blizzard’s factional change option and switched to Alliance.

The transition was fairly smooth.

What I dont like, however, was that I lost quite a number of achievements related to the Argent tournament faction which apparently is lost in the transition.

Similarly, the wrath gate experience is lost..

I can understand from a technical perspective how this works, but still - thats weeks of work gone. Unless, of course, I were to switch back to Horde and would get those achievements and reputation back.

Finally, I would add that I am encouraged by the forthcoming patch 3.3 - or release of Ice Crown Citadel. The content looks incredible.
