While I am highly critical of many policies pushed by our governor Jay Nixon, I do believe he should be given a bonus point or two for visiting our troops abroad.

Nixon could simply have opted to stay in state. Instead he decided to visit our men and women serving abroad in time of war. This was the right thing to do and hope to see more of it.

It should be noted that Nixon’s non notification to Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder that he was leaving the country into a war zone was both repugnant and stupid. At least Nixon didnt find his “soul mate,” eh?
