Blog may confirm political trap at Saddleback this weekend.

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Since seeing the commercials on Fox News announcing a political forum at Saddleback church this Saturday, I always suspected some thing was up. Then I ran across this blog which digs a little deeper and discusses who will be “helping” Rick Warren with questions to Obama and McCain.

Those “helpers” who are co-sponsoring the event happen to be people who lean not just a little left, but radically left. In fact one of them seems to be an Obama campaign adviser to Catholics.

Let this be a warning to all Christians in advance that the forum will more than likely be rigged to address questions which focus on - and this is my guess - an extremely marxist discussion revolving around what the government can do to solve the plight of the poor and needy (which just happens to be what Obama is selling) and not around traditional Christian issues.

So do not be expecting Senator Obama to explain why he is for infanticide, or be pressured to ensure religious freedom within the church.

In the words of the great Admiral Akbar - Its a trap!

Been sick.

Sorry about the lack of posts guys, but I’ve been sick since Saturday.

I am feeling marginally better at the moment, but I am still not 100% and probably wont be for the next few days.

In the mean time I would note the following things:

College football is right around the corner. I am really looking forward to it. Roll Tide! (I would say Go Bears, but I dunno how thats working out this year)

Cardinals took a gamble and failed to sign or trade for much needed help in the bullpen. I hate to say this, but they can kiss their play off hopes good bye at this point. The front office should very much be held to account for their inaction while the Cubs and Brewers did what they needed to in suring up their clubs.

Redstate posts an open letter to Rick Warren asking him to be truthful and tough to Barack Obama during this weekend’s shin dig at Saddle Back. I would note that I think the event will be a joke. It is my view that the event will be tilted to help Obama because there more than likely be no hard questions asked regarding how either of these men would ensure religious freedom or the sanctity of life, while justifying billions of dollars poured into new government programs. Never mind the fact that God wants people’s hearts and minds - not money.

Then there is this little matter of what is going on over in Georgia (the country). I would like to only note that at first Barack Obama’s response mimiced the Kremilin’s response to criticism from John McCain almost word for word. This might be suprising, but given that Obama and Democrats have been echoing Al Qeada and Iran for years on Iraq, it doesn’t.

Of course as the conflict escalated and world opinion chimed in, Obama changed his tone to a more harsh one while still blasting away at McCain (although the positions are almost the exact same).

Will he be busted by the media? LOL. wut? No.
